When openings are the weak point
Traffic, planes & trains
Low-frequency exterior noise finds the thinnest glass in the room. Laminated inserts with a deep air gap are the single most effective fix for a street- or flight-path-facing window.
Hallway & under-door noise
Hollow-core doors and a half-inch undercut leak conversation straight into the room. Solid-core or sound-rated units with a full perimeter seal and automatic door bottom close the gap.
Whole-envelope STC
A treated wall performs only as well as its weakest opening. Bringing windows and doors up to the wall's rating is usually what finally makes a room feel quiet.

We measure before we price
Window and door work is different from the rest of our catalog. Inserts and sound-rated units are fabricated to the exact opening, and a fraction of an inch changes both the material cost and the labor. We do not accept customer-supplied dimensions for these projects — if a number is wrong, the price we gave you is wrong, and we hold ourselves accountable to the figure we put in writing.
What we will always do before a visit: talk through your noise problem, tell you honestly whether windows and doors are the right lever for it, and describe the approaches that fit your building. Recommendations and insight are free. Numbers come after the tape measure.
