How pricing works
Why the real number comes from a tape measure
Track is cut to the wall, fabric is railroaded to the run, and cores are sized to the cavity — so wall construction, outlets and trim, ceiling height, access, fabric choice, and the exact panel layout all move the real cost. The estimator above cannot see any of that, which is why we measure on site before issuing a price and never price fabric-track work from customer-supplied dimensions.

- A fabric track system is a site-built frame of track extrusion fastened to the wall or ceiling, filled with acoustic insulation, then wrapped in acoustically transparent fabric that tucks into the track jaws. Unlike pre-made fabric wrapped acoustic panels, the finished surface is seamless and sized to the wall, so the treatment reads as architecture rather than as panels hung on a wall.
- How much do fabric wrapped acoustic panels cost?
- Budget planning starts at $18 per square foot for materials and $25 per square foot for installation, so a materials-plus-install project plans at about $43 per square foot. That is a budget estimate for planning only — the contract price is issued after we measure the room on site.
- Do you measure the room before pricing the job?
- Yes. Fabric track runs are fabricated to the wall, so we never price from customer-supplied dimensions. An on-site measurement visit documents every wall and ceiling plane, and the consultation fee is credited in full toward materials and labor when you move forward.
- What NRC can a fabric track wall reach?
- Absorption depends on cavity depth and the insulation behind the fabric. A typical 1 inch build lands around NRC 0.75 to 0.85 for speech-range echo, while deeper 2 to 4 inch cavities extend absorption into the low mids for home theaters and critical listening rooms.
- Can I choose my own fabric and color?
- Yes. Any acoustically transparent fabric, frame profile, and color can be specified, including customer-supplied fabric we test for transparency first. Fabric, frame, and color are confirmed with you during the measurement visit before anything is ordered.
- Does a fabric track wall soundproof a room?
- No. Fabric track treatment absorbs echo and reverberation inside the room; it does not block sound between rooms. Blocking sound requires mass, decoupling, damping, and sealing — that is soundproofing work, and we handle both, often on the same project.
