Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound (Box of 12) packages the same viscoelastic damping layer in a case sized for a full room-sized retrofit. Applied between two rigid drywall sheets, Green Glue functions as a Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) medium — converting sound-wave mechanical energy into low-grade heat by shearing under vibration. At the recommended 2 tubes per 4'×8' drywall sheet, one box covers approximately 192 sq ft, or six sheets.
