Tenmat FF109X — 6" Recessed Can 2-Hour Fire-Rated Cover
The Tenmat FF109X is part of the Tenmat FF109 / FF130 fire-rated cover family — flexible intumescent enclosures that restore ceiling fire integrity and reduce sound leakage at recessed penetrations. It folds through the fixture cutout and re-forms above the ceiling with no fasteners, sealants, or custom framing.
- 2 Hour Fire Rating: UL 263 / ASTM E119 classified. Intumescent material expands under heat to close the penetration and maintain the ceiling's rated assembly for 120 minutes.
- Reduces Sound Leakage: Encloses the fixture cutout so plenum-borne and room-to-room noise doesn't flank around the light or speaker — preserves the ceiling assembly's STC.
- Tool-Free Retrofit: Flexible dome folds through the existing fixture hole and re-forms above the ceiling. No cutting, fasteners, or sealants required.
