PAC International RSIC-SI-X ADM Mini Drop-In
The RSIC-SI-X ADM Mini Drop-In is a ceiling-only spring isolator that threads into a 1/4-inch mini drop-in anchor set in concrete. Its adjustable lower clip receives one 7/8-inch, 25-gauge hemmed-edge furring channel, creating a level, spring-isolated gypsum ceiling below a concrete slab. PAC lists it for ceilings, so it is best kept to ceiling work — a wall calls for a wall-rated system instead.
- "Mini Drop-In" is the anchor: The name describes the 1/4 in mini drop-in anchor set into the slab — not a suspended grid and not a lay-in ceiling tile system.
- Threads straight into the slab: Drill the concrete, set the anchor with its setting tool, thread the adjustable ADM assembly in, and the ceiling hangs from the slab with no wire and no carrier grid.
- Adjustable for a level ceiling: Bend the isolator down parallel with the floor, spin the threaded assembly to the elevation you want, and lock it with the jam nut.
- One furring channel per isolator: The lower clip snaps onto a single 7/8 in, 25-gauge hemmed-edge drywall furring channel at a maximum of 24 in o.c. Gypsum attaches only to the channel.
- Three calibrated springs: Red 26 lb, blue 13 lb and white 7 lb design loads at about 3/8 in deflection from free height — chosen by the load each position actually carries.

RSIC-SI-X ADM Mini Drop-In Preliminary Estimate
Built for ceilings. Quantity and spring colour are two separate checks: the layout sets how many clips you need, and the weight each one actually carries sets whether it is a red 26 lb, blue 13 lb or white 7 lb isolator.
The load figure should cover everything the ceiling permanently carries — the gypsum layers, the furring channel, and any permanently supported items. Both permitted layouts put furring channel no more than 24 in o.c. The count is plotted as channel lines × clips per channel using the offsets shown on PAC's illustrated concrete layout — about 4 in from the side edges and 6 in from the row ends. Confirm those offsets against your own framing and assembly rather than assuming they apply everywhere. Spares are jobsite spares, not cut waste — a clip is never cut.
Both permitted layouts share the same nominal tributary area of 5.333 sq ft per field clip (about 0.1875 clip per sq ft). That division is only a sanity check — the plotted count is what you order from.
A calculated load sits above PAC's largest calibrated 26 lb spring. That is a redesign, not a rounding-up: tighten the layout or lighten the build-up, and confirm with PAC or the project engineer.
