PAC International RSIC-SI-X ADM Multi-Clip
The RSIC-SI-X ADM Multi Clip is a ceiling-only, adjustable spring mount that fastens directly to concrete, wood, or steel structure. Its lower clip snaps onto one 7/8-inch, 25-gauge hemmed-edge furring channel, while the threaded assembly lets the installer level the isolated gypsum ceiling. PAC lists it for ceilings, so it is best kept to ceiling work — a wall calls for a wall-rated system instead.

- Direct to structure: It fastens to the underside of concrete, wood or steel framing, and can also fasten to the side of a wood or steel joist. There is no hanger wire and no carrier grid.
- Adjustable for a level ceiling: Bend the installed bracket down parallel with the floor, spin the isolator on the threaded rod to the elevation you want, and lock it with the jam nut.
- One furring channel per clip: The lower clip receives a single 7/8 in, 25-gauge hemmed-edge drywall furring channel. "Multi Clip" describes the adaptable mounting configuration, not multiple channels.
- Three calibrated springs: Red 26 lb, blue 13 lb and white 7 lb design loads at 3/8 in deflection from free height — assigned by location, not one colour everywhere.
- Adjustable drop: Minimum cavity about 2-5/8 in. The installation guide's own bolt schedule details drops from roughly 2-1/8 in to 8-1/4 in.

RSIC-SI-X ADM Multi Clip Preliminary Estimate
Built for ceilings. Quantity and spring colour are two separate checks: the layout sets how many clips you need, and the weight each one actually carries sets whether it is a red 26 lb, blue 13 lb or white 7 lb isolator.
The load figure should cover everything the ceiling permanently carries — the gypsum layers, the furring channel, and any permanently supported items. Both permitted layouts put furring channel no more than 24 in o.c. The count is plotted as channel lines × clips per channel using the offsets shown on PAC's illustrated concrete layout — about 4 in from the side edges and 6 in from the row ends. Confirm those offsets against your own framing and assembly rather than assuming they apply everywhere. Spares are jobsite spares, not cut waste — a clip is never cut.
Both permitted layouts share the same nominal tributary area of 5.333 sq ft per field clip (about 0.1875 clip per sq ft). That division is only a sanity check — the plotted count is what you order from.
A calculated load sits above PAC's largest calibrated 26 lb spring. That is a redesign, not a rounding-up: tighten the layout or lighten the build-up, and confirm with PAC or the project engineer.
How RSIC-SI-X ADM MULTI CLIP compares
| Model | Type | Surfaces | Supports | Load | Height adjustment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RSIC-SI-X ADM Multi Clipthis | Direct-to-structure adjustable spring and rubber isolator | Ceilings only | One 7/8 in furring channel directly | Red 26 · blue 13 · white 7 lb, location-specific | Threaded rod with jam nut |
| RSIC-WHI | Rubber isolator installed inline in hanger wire | Ceilings only | A wire-supported drywall or CRC grid — not direct furring | 15–220 lb across six versions | Hanger-wire length |
| RSIC-1 Low Profile | Shallow side-of-joist rubber clip | Ceilings only | One 7/8 in furring channel directly | 36 lb design load | None — no threaded spring adjustment |
| RSIC-SI-CRC systems | Spring hangers | Ceilings only | A CRC carrier channel rather than direct furring | Calibrated spring versions by model | By hanger design |
